JW Usage

Jehovah's Witnesses restrict to the 144,000 anointed class, arguing that only this group is foreknown, predestined, called, justified, and glorified in heaven. The "other sheep" or "great crowd" are said to receive a different destiny — earthly paradise — and are not adopted as God's children, not co-heirs with Christ, and not covered by this chain. The Watchtower also uses a two-stage justification framework: present standing through baptism and dedication, but final survival through Armageddon depends on continued obedience and loyalty to the organisation.

Protestant Usage

is the golden chain of salvation — five links with zero forks. The exact same group flows through every stage: foreknown, predestined, called, justified, glorified. Not one person is lost between links, and not one person is diverted to a second track. Paul writes "glorified" in the past tense (Greek aorist edoxasen) — so certain is this outcome that God regards it as already accomplished. This grammar demolishes the two-stage justification idea: if God has already done the harder thing (declaring sinners righteous), the easier thing (bringing them to glory) is guaranteed. There is no gap in the chain for a works-dependent second stage, and no branching point where some are glorified in heaven while others receive a lesser earthly hope. defines glorification in context: "co-heirs with Christ — if indeed we suffer with him, so that we may also be glorified with him." One destiny, not two.
