NT Prophecy
Revelation 19:19
19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies assembled to wage war against the One seated on the horse, and against His army.

JW Usage

Watchtower commentary reads as the gathering of all worldly opposition for destruction at Armageddon. The wild beast (the political world system), the kings of the earth (national governments), and their armies (their human supporters) are taken to represent everyone outside Jehovah's organisation. On this expansion, the verse describes the destruction of more than 99% of currently-living humans.

Protestant Usage

The text names the destroyed precisely: "the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage the war." Three specific apocalyptic categories — satanic power structures, hostile rulers, and their militaries actively arrayed against Christ at his return. The expansion to "all non-Witnesses alive on a given day" is a Watchtower inference, not a textual datum. sits alongside this scene: Jehovah "does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance." The Reformed reading holds the texts together — judgment on specific gathered enemies of Christ, combined with universal gospel patience toward everyone else. The Watchtower reading flattens the specificity of v19 into general annihilation.
