Psalms 86:8
Psalms 86:88O Lord, there is none like You among the gods, nor any works like Yours.
JWs affirm wholeheartedly: there is none like Jehovah, and this is precisely what proves Jesus cannot be Jehovah. Jesus is "a god" — Mighty God, Michael the Archangel, the greatest of God's creatures — but emphatically not the incomparable Jehovah of this verse. The verse is taken as confirmation that Jesus occupies a separate, lower category.
This verse becomes a syllogism trap when paired with . Premise 1: among the gods, none is like Jehovah ( NWT). Premise 2: Jesus is "the exact representation of [God's] very being" ( NWT). Conclusion: Jesus cannot be a creature, because no creature can be the exact representation of one no creature can resemble. The argument needs no Greek and no contested rendering — only the JW's own Bible read consistently. Pair with ("you alone are God") and ("who among the sons of God is like Jehovah?") for the full force.
