— "you gave them saviours who saved them out of the hand of their adversaries" — is Pollock's parallel for the temporal-deliverer reading of "saviour" (mōshia) in Hebrew Scripture. The Levites' confession in Nehemiah 9 lists the judges ("saviours" plural) who delivered Israel in the period of the Judges; the term applies to created human agents whose function is preservation, not to the unique divine Saviour. Provides the same Pollock-style support for as , used in Watchtower determinism (262) as a cross-reference for the saviour-temporal-use semantic.
