John 6:37
John 6:3737Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away.
JW evangelism frames salvation as a personal decision to research, accept, and join the organisation: "decide for yourself" after being encouraged to "study the Bible with us." The initiative sits with the seeker's will and effort. , when noticed at all, is read as a generic invitation rather than as a statement that the Father gives specific people to the Son.
Read with verses 39, 44, and 65, this verse locates the initiative squarely with the Father. "All those whom the Father gives me will come to me" — the giving precedes and produces the coming. And the second clause is a promise of preservation: "I will never drive away the one who comes to me." If your standing depends on your decision to find and join the right organisation, then losing your standing is one bad decision away. If your standing depends on the Father's giving and the Son's keeping, it does not. Ask gently: "If salvation depends on God drawing you first, rather than on you choosing the right organisation first, how do you know you have been drawn?" Pair with — "born, not from blood, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from God."
