# Isaiah 9:6

## Text (Berean Standard Bible)

> For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

## JW Usage

JWs acknowledge this refers to Jesus but argue "Mighty God" is a lesser title than "Almighty God" (El Shaddai).

## Protestant Usage

El Gibbor is the identical Hebrew phrase used of Jehovah in Isaiah 10:21. One chapter later, same author, same title.
